And who more than a celebrity cares more about aging!!!

As we get older, Celebrity or not, the one thing, we all will realize “we are not immortal anymore”. Our blood pressure climbs, we start to swell up, cholesterol climbs, and we start to show our age. We keep hearing I.F., I.F., Intermittent Fasting ………. Well………. “does Intermittent Fasting work” Science is saying yes.

There is only one way to
keep that ageless physique and look– keeping the swelling down and insulin in
check— how do you do that?

Intermittent Fasting could make all the difference in the world to your health. Those 2
areas, insulin resistance and inflammation, will be the 2 areas causing most of
the physical problems later in our lives. So how to keep them in check?


Did you know that, for your body, there is a good and bad inflammation? But with insulin
there is just the right amount and more insulin causes problems.

How many us know what causes to much of insulin and bad inflammation?

You’ll see in this short article what good and bad inflammation is and what good insulin and too
much insulin will do. You’ll also see what causes the problems and how you can fix
the problems.

How could something that we need so
much be so bad?

Insulin is one of those things that without it you die but with too much for too long you
die—not right away but in some painful ways.

I hate beating a dead horse over and over, and I know that you have herd this before.
When you eat to many carbs especially, simple carbs like sugar or things with
sugar in it like candy bars.—————– I gotta tell you, there is not
candy bar alive that I do not like. Or give me a Mt. Dew and its all over for
me because I will drink 3 in minutes and not just one.

The other thing is, you cannot quit eating that stuff “cold turkey” it’s like a drug, you
have to wean yourself off it and then replace it with something else.

How hard can it be??
Delay not deny, this is how intermittent fasting works.

Does this mean you cannot drink that Mt. Dew ever again “no” but defiantly not as much?
It’s like the saying “delay don’t deny”.  Were all adults here and not stupid, you are denying,
or you would have that Mt. Dew in your hands 24 hours a day, right?

But, to make this work you’ve got to replace those items with sugar for something different
that won’t spike the insulin. Now a days they have so many good fake sugars
that it is definitely easier to get your sweet tooth on!!!!

Simple sugars spike the insulin fast which is what we don’t want. But even slower
metabolizing foods, all of them except one will raise your insulin, whether it
is carbs or proteins. Did you notice the one food group I didn’t mention?

Its impossible to keep
your pancreas from shooting up all that insulin?

It’s not impossible. That is where we learn how to keep our body in a ketonic state. This is also how intermittent fasting works to keep you young and it helps keep you that ageless physique.

What is the secret to not raising the
insulin level?

It’s not a secret and never has been. But here is the truth of the matter.  Your pancreas will not let the laxer of life (insulin) into the blood stream if you eat fat. It is the only part a diet that works this way.  Every one’s diet consists of:

  1. Protein
  2. Carbs
  3. Fat

Now the fat part of the pyramid is where the Keto, Adkins, Paleo, etc…. diets come from and
they work… but we are learning about Intermittent Fasting, so let’s hear more
about the new fad.

Oh, wait it’s not a fad, it has been around for 1000’s of years. It’s in the Bible one
of the oldest books around. And it’s, wait for it———– it is fasting. Now
in days Intermittent Fasting has many different named programs for itself like;

  2. 5:2 – Fast diet
  3. Warrior diet
  4. Stop eat Stop diet
  5. Alternate – Day Fast

 I guess we as a people need to change things
up a little. But all in all, it is fasting —- delay, delay, delay, or deny, deny,
deny, for a period of time—whatever you want to say or call it, whatever
floats your boat, it is what it is.

With all these different themes to fasting you should find one that will work for you.
Even if you find the program that is perfect for you, your still probably going
to have to incorporate some kind of low carb diet with it.

When it comes right down to it, it’s still a calorie deficit that you need to have to
loss the fat to get healthier.

So, what does
intermittent fasting do to help?

When you’re eating all those carbs, your body is trying to burn all those carbs. It’s fine
and dandy, as long as, you are young and able to burn the calories. But when
you get older and you’re still eating the same and are not able to burn all the
calories.  Something bad starts to
happen. Your blood sugar starts to rise, this is not good.

Insulin as we age, that most of us will not escape the effect.

Blood sugar rises and we get what is called “insulin resistance”. Insulin resistance is the cause
all these fun physical issues:

  1. Cholesterol.
  2. High blood pressure
  3. Obesity
  4. Type 2 diabetes
  5. Inflammation and there are more to

The cool thing about these issues is that they can be turned around. Guess how?

Does intermittent fasting work, of course it does, and this is the first homicide it
will commit —it kills insulin resistance. Intermittent fasting, along with a
good low carb diet you will be as good as new in no time.

The problem with us people is, that we won’t do anything thing about these issues until we get older in life. When it’s the hardest to make the changes. As we all know the older we get, the more set in our ways we become. Therefore, making it harder to make some necessary changes, to get healthier.

If you look
at history, you will see a shift in the way we Americans eat. The shift went
from eating proteins and fats to carbs. I wish I had it in front of me, but I
don’t. However, the government decided that it was better for us Americans to
die of what carbs would do to us than what heart disease which at the time was
thought to be caused by eating too much red meat.

Now we are
dying of eating insulin overload. Which leads us to the second item that is
killing us slowly and painfully “inflammation”.

inflammation is where you would have an infection. Our bodies would fight this
by sending white blood cells to the infected area to fight the infiltration of
nasty stuff. Really basic stuff.

You really don’t want
all the benefits of inflammation

If you
thought that insulin was bad stuff, wait till you investigate inflammation.
Here again there are ways to fight inflammation. And if you ask the question
“does intermittent fasting work” the answer from science is yes.

Before we
look at how we can fight inflammation lets really look at what it can cause;

Need I go even farther into the studies of how bad inflammation can be. Just about anything that we do, like getting unhealthy, which takes time, maybe years to get that way. Yet we expect to get healthy over night — it’s just not going to happen.

We all
decided when you were younger that, maybe out of ignorance, but none the less
we all did, that we would be able to eat like this for ever and it just is not
true, and it will come to haunt us all if we don’t change.

Does Intermittent
Fasting work? The next homicide will be the death of inflammation.

With Intermittent Fasting, we can reverse the effects of the bad habits we’ve obtained over the years. That is what the studies are showing us.

Eating too
much, too often will eventually get you to much insulin trying to store fats
where and when there is no place to store them. This left-over fat gets left in
the blood with nowhere to go. And yet we still keep on eating.

Before you
know it, you have plaque taking up room in the vessels where there is no extra
room for it, then come the high blood pressure and blood clots. If you don’t
make changes, like intermittent fasting, you’re on the fast track to more
hospital visits and drugs.

One other way that Intermittent Fasting works? Is Magical!

By taking
time off of eating, we give our inners a break. What that does is give all the
good cells that are busy trying to keep you alive and fix the problems your
creating with your bad eating habits a chance to do —– nothing. Well that is
not exactly true. After a while like anywhere from 12 to 20 hours a couple of
things happen.

One is that
you body starts to go into ketosis. That means that your fat starts to use its
self to live on since there is nothing else, but that is not all.

The second
great item that happens is, that it frees time up for all those cells with
nothing to do to start to get rid of the free radicals in your body—-detox

So, I’m healed!  yes —- NO! you dope?

Like I said it
took time to get this way and it will take time to fix it with new habits.

Oh ya! I almost forgot I never mentioned exercise. However exercise is important, your eating habits are more important. In my life I’ve had 3 different trainers and each one told me that diet is 95% of your health. I just never got it—never understood. The light finally came on one day, isn’t that crazy?

Believe or not exercise is just for a moment, like 2 or 3 hours out of a week, but that dang eating is 24 hours a day. Just about every waking moment next to sex (if you’re a guy) is thinking of food. Believe me when I tell you, you’re going to exercise your way out of this now. Your’e not going to be able to eat everything in site without consequences.

The things that a younger person will never see!!! But they can learn if they’ll listen?

I’m 61 now now the exercise doesn’t do what it used to when I was 30. At that age I could of exercised my way out of high calorie meal however now that is probably why I am fighting for my health the way I am now.

 Good foods to live for inflammation

  • olive oil
  • tomatoes
  • do you have nuts, like as walnuts and almonds
  • leafy greens, including spinach and kale
  • Look at fatty fish, like as salmon and mackerel
  • Flaxseed
  • Dark chocolate
  • Blue Berries
  • fruit, including blueberries and oranges
  • Turmeric—tea helps
  • Leafy Greens
  • Chia seeds

Foods to eat if you want to die of inflammation—YES

  • fried foods, including French fries
  • white bread, pastry, and other foods that contain
    refined carbohydrates
  • soda and sugary drinks
  • red meat
  • margarine and lard

If your going to do a keto diet the red meat and butter you can try it and see what it does to you. I’m personally not big on red meat anyway but my belief on butter is “the more butter the better”.

In conclusion

It’s a question for yourself —– how do you want life to be?

  1. Do you want it to be in and out of a hospital?
  2. On a bunch of different drugs, you can’t even spell
  3. Are you wondering from one minute to another what’s going to happen next?
  4. In pain most of the time
